What can I expect from an Occupational Therapy assessment?
Initial assessment: We will discuss the issues that are affecting your everyday life. This assessment usually takes place in the home (available nationwide), this enables practical problem solving that can make a real life difference. Assessment can also be scheduled in Botanic Health clinic, Drumcondra, Dublin.
Reports and Treatment Plan: Emer will complete a detailed report of recommendations of the assessment. If further therapy sessions are required, the goals for therapy will be outlined. The length of input varies, some individuals only require initial assessment, some are seen for a number of months. Skype follow ups are available for those living out of the Dublin area.
For no additional cost, Emer can also offer you a short Yoga practice to supplement your OT rehabilitation goals. The union of Yoga and OT strengthens the holistic nature of the therapy process. Both Yoga and OT promote wellness in the body and mind through enhanced physical and mental fitness. Yoga can assist you in regaining independence in your meaningful daily occupations.
